In 2016, Cynan Jones was commissioned to work on an episode for the third series of the BAFTA-winning crime drama Hinterland, shot concurrently in English and Welsh in his native West Wales and broadcast in over 30 countries. 

 

He is currently engaged in a number of screenplay projects, and has written several stories for BBC Radio, including the twelve-story series Stillicide.
